The Heimerle + Meule Red Covering Lacquer is a professional jewellery masking lacquer designed for selective electroplating and precision plating work. Manufactured in Germany, this ready-to-use red lacquer helps protect selected areas of jewellery and metal surfaces from plating during controlled electroplating processes.

Ideal for goldsmiths, jewellers and professional plating workshops, it is specifically developed for use with acidic rhodium and gold plating baths operating at room temperature.

Heimerle + Meule Red Covering Lacquer is used to mask specific areas of jewellery before electroplating.

It is particularly useful when only selected sections of a piece require a rhodium or gold-plated finish, helping prevent plating from being deposited on protected areas.

Important: This product is not intended for heated plating baths or electrolytes outside the specified conditions.

For successful application, additional preparation, processing and lacquer removal steps are required. Always follow the manufacturer's technical information and safety date sheet before use.

Lacquer Removal & Thinning

• After electroplating, the masking lacquer must be removed using a suitable lacquer remover in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• A compatible solvent thinner may also be required for certain application procedures.

Please note: Lacquer remover and solvent thinner are not included with this product.
