The Busch Fig. 1AU Carbide Round Bur is a premium-quality rotary bur, precision manufactured in Germany from isostatically compressed fine-grain carbide. Designed for professional jewellers, goldsmiths and stone setters, this high-performance bur delivers exceptional cutting power, dimensional accuracy and an extended working life.

Specially developed for working with hard jewellery metals such as platinum, titanium and white gold, the Fig. 1AU effortlessly removes material while maintaining outstanding control and precision.

The spherical cutting head is ideal for opening stone settings, creating accurate seats and cutting claw notches to securely support a gemstone's girdle before the claws are pushed over the stone. It is an essential bur for precision stone setting and fine jewellery fabrication.

Featuring a 2.35 mm (3/32") shank, the bur fits most flex shaft machines, micromotors, pendant drills and pin vices commonly used in professional jewellery workshops.

For improved cutting performance and a longer service life, we recommend using a suitable bur lubricant during operation.
